Golf Day
At 7 am on a chilly Sunday morning the golfers started
assembling at the Golf Club for the 0830 shotgun start.
In addition to the golf there was a putting competition and also a raffle.
Rotarians were busy selling tickets to the golfers as well enticing them to
have a go in putting competition before teeing off from Tee No 1.
It was a good day for the Brownlee family as the team of Charlie, Jill, Greg
and James won the first prize in the main competition. Then Greg went on to win
the first price in the putting competition.
The day was a great success and early indications are that about P 35 000.00
may have been raised to go into the Rotary Club of Gaborone's Charity Fund. Our
thanks go to the organisers, Rotarians Itamar Azoulay, Jim Parton and Roger Damp,
for all the time and hard work that they put into to making Sunday such as
enjoyable day.
