Given the sudden onset of wintry weather, the latest handover of blankets and tents to the Kagisano Society was most timely, and appreciated.

The Society is an NGO which runs a Women's Shelter Project in Broadhurst, providing a safe haven, counseling, legal and medical aid, and life skills training to women and children who are the victims of gender based violence. The Project is funded by donations and the sale of various craft items produced by staff and the women who receive assistance. Susan Mahachi, Senior Counselor of the Project, plans to use the donated equipment for recreational activities and as accommodation when conducting awareness workshops.
